I just loved this shot! I was walking past someone’s garden and these were on the edge
Much better viewed large
I saw this photo on Flickr and loved it and added it as one of my favourites. This was for two reasons, one I love the photograph itself, the composition and the look of it is great and for some reason it reminds me of a 1960’s beach scene from a film. I think that must be down to the colouring of the shot and the female legs and bikini just give it that type of feel.

The second reason was the title itself as Lay, Lady Lay is not only a good title, but a song originally by Bob Dylan that I love. The original is excellent, but in 2005 the film “Mr & Mrs Smith” introduced a version that was used at the end of a fight scene between the two main characters (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie)
I really loved this new version, so went on the hunt for who had redone it and found out it was by a group called Magnet and featured Gemma Hayes (Whoever she is!). After further searching I also found the video on YouTube to go with the song and to say it’s a surreal video is and understatement, so I’ve embedded it below so you can see yourself.

Lay, Lady Lay by Magnet (with Gemma Hayes)
Anyway hope you enjoy Lay, Lady Lay the photo, music and video as much as I do

The Four Chimps, originally uploaded by Russ G.
Original 1960’s PG Tips Egg Cups
The four Chimps above were promotional gifts that you sent away for with vouchers from packets of PG Tips in the 1960’s. They were named Navvy Chimp, Sargent Chimp, Mr Shifter and The Cyclist. They’ve seen better days but were used for their intended purpose, as egg cups and then put away in storage until recently.
The same version of this photo can also be viewed here on the Zooomr photo sharing site.
