My favourite four Moo Postcards… I Think! They are all good really but think I like these slightly more
Not really had much time over the last few weeks to take or post many photo’s as I’ve been far too busy with other things, unfortunately! But the Moo Postcards I ordered turned up a while back, so thought I’d take a few shots of them as really pleased with them and how they have turned up
I love the odd “Bombay Sapphire” Gin and tonic every now and then as it’s a very smooth drink, too smooth sometimes!
A Macro shot with the overall colour desaturated, then the blue and gold saturation increased.
As we head into 2008 I thought I’d do a quick review of the photo’s I have taken in 2007 since getting my Canon EOS400D in February. In that time I’ve managed to take 6700 photo’s, which to some may not seem a lot, but to me since having a DSLR is an awful lot! Saying that I expect in 2008 the number will be far higher as I take my camera with me more and take more and more shots.
Having a DSLR has opened up a whole new world of photography to me this year for many reasons, but here are some of the changes I have noticed …
I now shoot in RAW which allows me to edit my photo’s much more effectively than I used to be able to do. Rather than taking one shot of a subject I find myself taking numerous shots and keeping and editing the best. This has the knock on effect that I’ve had to increase my hard drive space for all my new photo’s and I have just had to purchase a new 500GB external drive ready for 2008. I think my photography has improved over the year as I’ve taken more time, learnt how to use my new camera properly and used new techniques I’ve picked up from others online.
The downsides to this are that I never have enough time to take and edit all the photo’s I want to take. Those around me get fed up of seeing me constantly stopping to capture that odd angled shot or yet another picture of them (Although they are now getting used to it!) Also I just want to spend more and more time taking photo’s of everything … infact it’s addictive once you start!
Saying that I think I’ve taken some great shots this year and the photograph below must be one of my all time favourites. I just love the look on H’s face and that look in his eye and the Spiderman statue in the background.
My top 25 photo’s of 2007 can be found here if your interested and all of my favourites can be found here (This is an ongoing list and I’m still adding to it)
So here’s to another very busy year in 2008 with hopefully lots of new subjects around to take photo’s of
Happy New Year to everyone.
