Having broken one water pistol, Henry now has a new bigger and better one to continue the mischief with! Again, another shot I love because of the look on Henry’s face as you just know he’s about to do something he shouldn’t! plus catching the water falling from the fountain in the background.

I thought I’d revisit an older photo today and publish one of my favourite neon shots I took in October 2007 at a funfair in my home town of Banbury. Doing a search on Google, the following quote can be found about the history of this fair.
.
“The ancient town of Banbury in Oxfordshire hosts a street charter fair in October. This has been a tradition for around 400 years, first starting as a hiring or mop fair.”
.
I’ve been going to this fair for as long as I can remember and now I take my little boy, who loves the sights and sounds of this busy fair as much as I do, as well as all the rides he manages to con me into going on! The photo above is an abstract shot of the neon sign for the Wilson Dodgem Ride or Bumper Cars and a clearer less abstract version can be seen below.

I love going to this fair in my home town and it’s become a tradition that we always go each year in October as the nights are closing in and autumn is in the air and one that I hope I continue with my boys as they grow up.
